So, I just watched Hunger Games for the first time.

Yes I know, I’m so 2000 and late. There were only 8 people in the theatre including myself and my sister so there are benefits to watching movies 3 months after everyone else.

Surprisingly, I actually really enjoyed the film. I haven’t read the books, but it’s just so refreshing to see a film with a young cast which isn’t about love or wish fulfilment.

That said, Katniss and Peeta 5ever.

Excited for Summer!

JUNE
  • Hackney Weekend
  • Wimbledon
JULY
  • Rome
AUGUST
  • Olympics
  • Paris
Not to mention my birthday! Oh yeah, Summer of Gon - suck it taxpayers!

So stressed out. Eating bread until the worries go away.

Today my brother lifted up his shirt to flash his abs only to realise he was wearing another shirt underneath.

“Well this is awkward” he said and then he quietly exited the room.

Strawberry and white chocolate muffins, and wholemeal sponge cake with raspberry jam filling….on grass.

So yesterday I was very social and spent the day on Hampstead Heath having a “goodbye” picnic for one of my friends who is leaving London.

I’ll do a review later but before the results come out, my favourites are Sweden (of course), Lithuania, Cyprus, Greece and Romania.

But of course I’ll more than happy if the Russian grannies win. I just don’t want some mediocre ballad like Albania to win or that terrible Turkish joke act.

Watching the Eurovision Semifinal 2 with my sister.

Suddenly realise this might be our last year watching together since she’s off to Uni in September.

Look at you, walking over here with your pompous butt.

My sister, who thinks pompous is a synonym for big.

My Eurovision Semi-final 1 review

My favourites on the night:

  • Israel
  • Greece
  • Cyprus
  • Ireland
  • Romania

So 5/6 got through. I’m disappointed Israel didn’t get through but I realise with Israel’s politics, they need a stellar song and performance to get votes. I’m surprised Greece went for such a catchy song considering they really cannot afford to win but Greece could send a goat and still get into the final because everyone love Greece at Eurovision for some reason.

There were lots of terrible songs which I thankfully cannot remember except for Albania(?) that warbling lady with the cone hair who just sang the same damn note for 3 minutes. I wanted to shoot myself.

Basically my memory of the show is clouded by the Russian grandmothers who are greatest thing to grace Eurovision since whatever I was obsessed with last year. I can see them walking with the trophy on Saturday.

Oh and Jedward were….Jedward which is why I secretly love them. I would be quite happy for Ireland to send them every year.

la-methode-bio said: when will be the eurovision?

Eurovision is this Saturday! Semis are Tuesday and Thursday. I wonder who will be my Eric Saade for this year?

I’ve started watching Community. If I continue at my current pace, I expect to be outraged by Dan Harmon’s firing in 2-3 weeks.

The best thing about late May? Eurovision and the French Open.

Best way to start the Summer.

Today I bought Olympic Hockey tickets.

Yes, my desperation to go to the Olympics is so high that I spent £86 on tickets to watch a sport I vehemently hated in school, and on seats so far from the action that I plan on bringing binoculars.

And yet I regret nothing.

  • Sister: Hey, you know Lizzie McGuire?
  • Me: Yeah
  • Sister: Wait, is Lizzie McGuire her real name? No, what is it.... Herrrrrr......Stenma?
  • Me: Herr Stenma? No, it's Hilary Duff.
  • Sister: Oh yeah, Hilary Duff.
